A physics lab essential, the Lascells Laboratory Speaker features a high quality, full range 4″ speaker, mounted to a metal base with standard banana jack plugs. Suggested demonstrations include: finding the range of human hearing; showing that volume is a function of diaphragm displacement; dancing oobleck/cornflour (ensuring that the speaker is protected with cling film); interference, for which two speakers would be required, and coherence provided by the dual output on the Lascells Wireless Amplifier (not included). The optimum audio frequency range is 80Hz to 22kHz, but the speaker will respond to signals well beyond this range when required.
